Components of the design and planning process include, but are not limited to:

• Onsite review of existing pharmacy space and current dispensing operation

• Interviews with key personnel to discuss the short and long term goals of the project

• Workflow analysis of people and product

• Function and system review

• Determination of space requirements

• Integration of pharmacy tasks within the physical reality of the space

• Integration of automated dispensing systems

• Integration of Quality Assurance processes into workflow systems

• Interfacing/facilitation with architects, engineers, facility management and planners, general contractors

• Schematic design plan
